Enrique “Ricky” Bacalla is a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Manager at Sorren, based in the firm’s Philippines office. A Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines, Ricky brings extensive experience in managing offshore accounting teams and delivering high-quality CAS support to U.S.-based CAS and tax teams.
In his current role, Ricky leads a team of 17 offshore accountants across four locations, coordinating the delivery of accounting services while overseeing workflow, assignments, and timelines to ensure work is completed efficiently, on budget, and to Sorren’s quality standards. He is deeply involved in reviewing deliverables, providing constructive feedback, and coaching team members to strengthen technical skills and consistency. Ricky is known for his hands-on leadership style and commitment to helping his team grow—not just as accountants, but as professionals.
Ricky has significant experience working with service-based organizations, including software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies, consulting firms, and accounting services providers. He primarily supports clients with revenues in the $10 million to $20 million range, many of which operate across multiple states and countries, including the U.S., Canada, India, and the Philippines. Clients value Ricky’s ability to go beyond the numbers, offering insights that support growth, improve processes, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Originally from Quezon City, Philippines, Ricky values mentorship and meaningful leadership, inspired by his parents’ selflessness and example. Outside of work, he spends most of his time with his son, enjoys occasional console gaming, and has a personal interest in advocating for greater awareness around developmental delays in children.
